Unlocking in-ground value at Prairie

Arizona Lithium (ASX:AZL) is accelerating development at its Prairie lithium brine project in Saskatchewan, Canada, having completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 offsite testing of direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology, with Phase 3 pilot testing scheduled for November on site. The project hosts a JORC inferred resource of 4.1 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent at 111mg/L lithium, described as Canada's highest quality inferred lithium brine resource.

Managing director Paul Lloyd said the company holds 'a world class resource at the Prairie lithium project that carries with it a significant in-ground value', pointing to Saskatchewan's standing as a top mining jurisdiction with infrastructure access, an oil and gas production heritage and well-developed permitting. DLE evaluation is the board's highest priority, with third-party providers assessed alongside proprietary technology and a pre-feasibility study underway.
